Internet technology that showcases your curling event

GameTracker is a unique online entertainment technology developed for webcasting curling games over the Internet. Viewers watch curling game webcasts using a GameTracker Receiver that has interactive controls and a virtual 3D arena. It provides a captivating experience that is entertaining, educational and globally available using Internet web browsers. GameTracker presents a valuable opportunity for event organizers to webcast games easily and cost-effectively with a range of related media and advertising options.

GameTracker does not require a custom plug-in nor difficult setup to view the games. Viewers simply click a GameLink and the GameTracker Receiver loads into a browser window and almost magically the games begin to play.

GameTracker delivers the excitement and subtle nuances of a classic curling game

The GameTracker Receiver’s virtual 3D curling arena and interactive features keep audiences entertained and captivated. Its realistic shot animation creates an experience equal to that of watching a real game. It also allows the viewer to move at will to any vantage point within the arena.

Cameras are positioned in the 3D Arena to ensure viewers always have access to the best view of the action. Clicking a green square in the CamTrol window changes your vantage point within the 3D Arena. The current camera has a red center and its name appears in the window near the top of the CamTrol.

The Receiver can be set to automatically cycle through a sequence of cameras by clicking one of the director chair buttons. These sequences allow viewers to experience a unique and entertaining view of the action.

Viewers can pick up a live game in progress or view it in replay mode any time after the original live webcast. Just like a DVD player, GameTracker provides tools to select and replay any end and shot in the game. The six playback modes can be combined to create a playback experience that best suits your computer system's capabilities and your personal preferences.

The bell button activates a chime that rings just prior to playing the animation of a shot. It is used to inform the viewer that a shot is about to play.

The performance button activates hardware acceleration provided your computer is equipped with a compatible OpenGL display card. This mode is currently not activated.

The window size button changes the size of the 3D Arena window. When the 3D Arena window is small the animation playback is smoother on computers equipped with slower processors.

The half shot button when activated plays back shots starting from the center of the sheet. This reduces the playback of the animation by approximately half the normal time.

The pause button temporarily stops the action in the 3D Arena window. Deactivating this mode resumes playback.

The fast play button plays shot animation at a higher speed.

The circular shot selectors are clicked to load shots in the end. The shots that have been viewed previously are darkened and shots that have not been viewed are bright. The green square surrounding the circular icon indentifies the shot that is currently displayed in the 3D Arena. The Receiver automatically continues to playback shots sequentially from the selected shot until the game is over.

The green numbers at the top of the scoreboard indentify the ends. Clicking an end number loads the shots for that end into the receiver. Once an end is loaded a green box surrounds its number and the shots begin to playback in the 3D Arena window.

An enticing new opportunity to generate revenue

Revenue can be generated in association with GameTracker webcasts through the sale and placement of ads on the GameTracker Receiver, the GameLink page and related web pages.

A live webcast can provide significant exposure for advertisers. For example 1,200 ad minutes are available for an average live game and the value to an advertiser increases with each replay.

A variety of advertising placement options are available. This service is licensed on an event-by-event basis, some common examples are:

Event Branding Graphic with optional hyperlink - This appears near the top of every GameTracker Receiver and GameLink page used for an event webcast. The conspicuous placement makes it valuable for promoting a title sponsor and/or an event host. Optionally, this graphic can be programmed to cycle in a manner similar to the ads at the base of the Receiver.

3D Ad Panels - These ads appear in the Receiver’s 3D curling arena and are oriented in a manner that provides maximum exposure to the various camera angles. These panels are best suited for corporate logos and logotype.

Revolving Ads with optional hyperlinks - These ads appear near the bottom of the Receiver and GameLink page and are displayed repeatedly throughout the game. Upon clicking an ad, a popup browser window appears displaying the advertiser’s own online media.

The GameTracker Receiver can be customized to accommodate other ad placements and formats.

GameTracker creates an experience that keeps viewers focused on the game making it one of the most powerfull and flexible revenue generating mediums available for curling!
